Have you tried submitting any stories of your own to a sf/f publicatio? And after slushing through 50 stories for FF, do you have any advice for writers looking to have short fiction published?
This reminds me, I should probably do a proper intro post for the substack. I've had about a dozen pieces published since I started taking my writing seriously in 2020. Most for what are called semi-pro or token rate markets, but a few professional sales too. I should have two more stories out before the end of the year, which I'm looking forward to sharing here.
As for advice, the best thing you can do is join a writing group. Doesn't have to be anything formal, just find some people whose opinion you trust and who understand what your goals are. And you have to be ready to give as much back into the group in terms of reading/critiquing as you're going to take out of it.
